As a lab technician in pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industry labs, Philipp identified a widespread reliance on manual, paper-based workflows in industries outside of pharma and set out to change that. Today, 1LIMS supports laboratory teams across Europe, Africa, and Asia with a lean, easy-to-use, cloud-based, and integrated LIMS solution. 1LIMS is a consultancy firm that helps labs analyze, optimize, digitalize, and automate data streams and lab processes.

Dr. Bob McDowall

McDowall Consulting

Bob McDowall is an analytical chemist with over 50 years' experience, with a PhD in forensic toxicology. In addition to his experience in forensic toxicology, he has regulated pharmaceutical laboratories and has worked as a consultant for over 30 years. His interests are laboratory digitalization, analytical instrument qualification, computerized system validation, and data integrity. Bob writes the ‘Questions of Quality’ column for LCGC International and Focus on Quality for Spectroscopy. He is an experienced trainer and presenter who contributes his knowledge to short courses and webcasts.

Raj Patey

Business Development Director, My Green Lab

Ray Patey is a Business Development Director at My Green Lab, and is dedicated to helping lab supply manufacturers transform the lab product market through the ACT Ecolabel Program. This program offers a comprehensive framework centered on Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency (ACT) for assessing and improving the environmental impact of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and equipment. Ray collaborates closely with laboratory suppliers, procurement teams, scientists, and other stakeholders to engage customers and drive sustainable improvements in product environmental performance. Through this initiative, manufacturers receive detailed, third-party verified evaluations covering manufacturing processes, energy and water use, packaging, and product end-of-life management, enabling a more sustainable laboratory supply chain.

Global Product Manager, METTLER TOLEDO

Annika Joss joined METTLER TOLEDO in 2020 as global product manager for Moisture Analyzers, after completing a master’s degree in Materials Science at ETH Zurich and collecting experience in product management, training, delivery, and supplier management for construction materials. She brings practical experience and technical expertise, both of which are essential for driving projects forward and delivering high-quality solutions for moisture analysis.

Andrea Muehleis

Global Product Manager, METTLER TOLEDO

With a Dipl.-LM-Ing. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Hohenheim, Andrea Mühleis has developed a deep understanding of the food industry. Since December 2019, Andrea Mühleis has been working as global product manager at METTLER TOLEDO International, using her expertise to drive innovation for the current Halogen Moisture Analyzer portfolio.

Team Lead Material Characterization Support and RandD, METTLER TOLEDO

Teresa is an Application Specialist for Thermal Analysis at METTLER TOLEDO, where she utilizes, teaches, and supports DSC, TGA, TMA, and DMA instruments at the company’s headquarters in Switzerland. She also leads the Thermal Analysis application specialist group.

Dr. Cosimo A. De Caro

Senior Application Chemist, METTLER TOLEDO

Dr. Cosimo A. De Caro is Senior Applications Chemist at the METTLER TOLEDO Headquarters in Switzerland. He works on method development for quantitative chemical analysis by potentiometric techniques and UV/Vis spectrophotometry.

Daniel W. Fuchs is the Head of Skills Development and Training at Mettler-Toledo GmbH. With over 30 years of experience at METTLER TOLEDO since 1992, Daniel leads the Global Skills Development and Training team based in Greifensee, Switzerland. He is a seasoned laboratory consultant, specializing in quality assurance, Lean Lab practices, and regulatory compliance for the pharmaceutical, chemistry, food and beverage, and testing laboratory sectors. Daniel has a proven track record in enhancing ergonomics and promoting healthy, efficient weighing processes to boost productivity and ensure compliance.

Gunnar Danielson

Head of LabX Business Development and Consulting, METTLER TOLEDO, Switzerland

With computer science and business education and over 25 years working with computer systems, he has been focusing for the past 15 years on workflow optimization, Digital Transformation and Data Integrity solutions for the laboratory. Solutions for system integration, Digitalization, Data Governance and Data Integrity are his focus; and the global software solutions team that he leads. Integrating analytical instruments into the lab ecosystem has been his goal and digitally transforming processes -- a main focus. He is also head of the Data Integrity group at Mettler Toledo. This group oversees data integrity for all Mettler Toledo divisions.
