If your Safeline metal detector has round buttons (V3 electronics), you can upgrade to a V4 - Touch LS platform.

If your Safeline metal detector has square buttons, then you have either a V1 or a V2 platform. A V2 metal detector can be upgraded to a V3 platform; V1 metal detectors can only be replaced. Pressing the square ‘recall’ key on the key panel will confirm which software version you have.

Upgrade from a Version 3 to a Version 4 and receive a system that is designed for today’s challenges, without having to pay for a full replacement.

Upgrades – checkweigher load cell

The Load Cell Is the Heart of Your Checkweigher

As the heart of your checkweigher, the load cell is subject to a degree of wear over the years. This wear can affect the precision and product life of the load cell. You should be aware that the performance and maximum throughput of your whole plant depend on the load cell.

By changing over to the latest generation of electro-magnetic force compensation load cells, you are able to ensure that your checkweigher’s performance will be maintained to the fullest.

Accuracy, reliability and easy integration characterise the electro-magnetic force compensation load cells from METTLER TOLEDO. The standard CL20 (passive) and RS422 data interfaces give you freedom of parameter settings up to a transmission speed of 115200 Baud. The TF load cell has three digital inputs that can be read via the serial interface by an external host. Additionally, three digital outputs can be activated by the serial interface to directly control actuator devices such as rejectors with up to 24V DC/0.5A.

Different versions of both the TF10 and TF20 load cell types are available. They can be used to replace load cells of the BF8 and BF10 types, as were fitted into Garvens checkweigher models of the E-series and S-series built from the year 2000 onwards (e.g.checkweigher models E2, E3, S2 and S3).

METTLER TOLEDO’s local Service Team will be happy to advise and assist you on selecting the correct load cell.
